Mary rose, soprano

Coloratura Soprano, Mary Rose is just finished performing in the Seattle Opera School Outreach Tour as Mariana in Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Niña en el Mundo. This season, Mary sings the soprano solos Handel’s Messiah with St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Katy, Texas. In 2024, Mary will join Puget Sound Concert Opera again for Il matrimonio segreto and Kitsap Opera for La Cenerentola.

Last fall, Mary joined Puget Sound Concert Opera for Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon singing the title role. In 2022, made her Puget Sound debut with Tacoma Opera as Norina in Don Pasquale. Her other roles include The Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen), La Comtesse Adèle (Le Comte Ory), Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Lady Psyche (Princess Ida), and Morgana (Alcina).

Mary received her Master of Music degree from Louisiana State University where she studied with Loraine Sims, and Bachelor of Arts from Luther College. Currently, Mary studies dramatic soprano Alexandra Lobianco, as well as tenor Peter Scott Drackley. She is based in Seattle, Washington.
